You may consider TAFE (Technical and Further Education) which provides vocational tertiary courses known as VET courses. Practical in nature, these courses suit students wishing to learn workplace skills and industry training. The courses offer certificates, diplomas or advanced diplomas which may well assist with university entrance or job finding. Sometimes these courses are shorter and also more affordable than university degrees. You do not need prior qualifications to start a course other than having completed school to years 10 or beyond.

While the graduate certificate can be completed in 6–12 months of full-time study, the graduate diploma takes around 1–2 years to complete.
