Adelaide is the fifth- largest city in Australia set between rolling hills on one side and coastal beaches on the other. Adelaide Festival: 1-17 March 2016
The Adelaide Festival is a cultural celebration of art, performance and culture with lots of different events for the whole family. The Adelaide writer’s week during the festival offers a program to satisfy the literary curious – from children’s literature, to poetry to history and film.
The Adelaide Fringe festival: Feb/March
Run as an open access festival, you can be entertained with circus, cabaret, comedy, theatre, music, dance, visual art and film, with over 900 events held throughout the city. This is the largest annual arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere and with lots of free events and family friendly shows it’s a great way to watch international and home grown talent.
WOMAdelaide (World of Music, Arts and Dance)
Run over 4 days in Adelaide’s Botanic Park and featuring artists, dancers and musicians from all over the world, WOMAdelaide is a fun filled and popular festival. Food lovers can participate in a Taste the World cooking program or just enjoy the goods at the many food stalls on offer.
